Peace it Together website and Knowledge Innovation Fund

CCMC is delighted to announce the launch of the website of the Peace it Together network of organisations and projects. Furthermore, there is also the opportunity to apply for the Knowledge and Innovation Fund, which is accepting submissions for Expressions of Interest until 15 August 2012. The Knowledge Innovation Fund is a unique opportunity to turn your experience of peace building into a knowledge product that can help others. Expressions of interest can be made online through the website – guidelines are linked herePlease check it out and also forward to your contacts who may be interested.

CYINDEP 'Envisioning a Just and Sustainable Future' cocktail reception 12/07/12

CCMC member CYINDEP – the Cyprus Island-wide NGO Development Platform – cordially invite you to their Envisioning a Just and Sustainable Future – Cocktail Reception this Thursday, 12 July at 19:00 at the Home for Cooperation in Nicosia's buffer zone (opposite Ledra Palace). The Cocktail Reception will mark the Launch of our EU-funded project entitled ‘Solidarity in Change – Development in Times of Transition’, awarded to CYINDEP on the occasion of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union, and its public events are being held under the auspices of the Presidency. Augmented Reality: symposium

The Cyprus Neuroscience & Technology Institute together with partners, invite you to the International Symposium: “Augmented Reality and Online Identities in Education”. The conference will take place at Golden Bay Hotel in Larnaca, on the 13 and 14 of July: on the 13th starting at 9:30am - 5:00pm and on the 14th starting at 9:30am - 1:00pm. The Symposium will discuss innovative applications of Augmented Reality in Education focusing on how augmented reality can be used to facilitate awareness of children's' behaviors in cyberspace and especially their projected online identities in social networking sites. The Symposium is open to the public, but requires registration through the project’s website here.

Social inclusion of young people

The Cyprus Youth Council as the chair of the National Working Group for Structured Dialogue, invites you to join the third round of Consultations , falling during the Cyprus EU Presidency, which focuses on fostering Participation and Social Inclusion of young people. The first two rounds of consultations were already completed during the Danish and Polish Presidency focusing respectively on the topics of active Participation of Youth in Election Process and Creativity and innovation of young people. Your presence is considered very important as we want to offer young people the opportunity to express their opinion on these issues which could then be adopted as conclusions of the dialogue on a European level. You can find and answer the questions in electronic format on the Participation and Social Inclusion of young people by clicking here. To continuously receive updates on the procedures of the Structured Dialogue, you can freely become a member of the group Youth Voice of Cyprus. For more information on the Structured Dialogue process please visit the European Youth Forum webpagePlease visit the Cyprus Youth Council website for more information on the organisation and its work.
