CCMC, in partnership with the EU's Civil Society Support Team, held another innovative guerilla mediamaking workshop on Thursday 22 July for local activists, attended by 18 members of Cypriot civil society. Guerilla mediamaking is a concept involving the production of media on a tight budget, which does not target the mainstream media, but seeks alternative ways of dissemination and reaching an audience.

The workshop covered various techniques, tips and strategies for individuals wishing to make media on a low budget, including short viral videos. Vasia Markides, a Cypriot filmmaker living in New York facilitated the training. The participants worked in groups on specific project ideas, such as campaigns for the rights of sex workers, children’s rights, and the promotion of artistic development within society.
